Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials within our warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment operation.
2nd Shift/Night Shift Monday through Thursday
Duties
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and clamp trucks to move materials within the facility.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to accurately fulfill customer orders.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Maintain an organized workspace by keeping inventory properly stored and labeled.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational efficiency and workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical reliability and safety compliance.
- Participate in training sessions for new employees on warehouse management systems and best practices in materials handling.
